Quackshot^TM is a medium carbon through-hardened steel shot. Because its hardness is less than expensive mill parts, it is an economical and expendable alternative to costly mill repairs. Quackshot is well suited for small particle, high-viscosity dispersions such as carbon blacks and offset inks. It has the highest specific gravity of any standard mill media we offer. The initial thin oxide layer wears off quickly to reveal a bright and shiny appearance virtually indistinguishable from that of chrome steel media.
